I have been styling hair ever since I can remember. I even had a salon chair in my bedroom. When I enrolled in cosmetology school, I knew this was the only career I wanted to do.
I spent three years working in my home country of Canada before making the big move to the US and settling in my new home, New Jersey. It was here that I worked my way up from assisting to advanced cutting education with Toni and Guy, building my career on cutting and styling, editorial, and weddings.
Now with almost 20 years doing what I love, I specialize in doing wedding hair all over the world and giving clients their best hair ever behind the chair at my home base in Jersey City.
"There’s a reason why she’s been voted Best Stylist in Jersey City for 2 years in a row. I’ve been seeing Meg for the better part of a decade. She’s the only person I trust to cut my hair. Plus her styling skills are phenomenal and really make her cuts come to life. She takes the time to explain how to style a new cut at home so I feel confident I can replicate it on my own. It’s always a great day when I see Meg because I leave not only looking great, but also FEELING great."
I feel so lucky to have met Meg. She’s been cutting and styling my hair the past few years and I’ve never loved my hair more. I’ve gone from long, to short, to a daring bob that I never thought I’d pull off, and the way she cuts it makes it effortless to style. Anyone who gets to sit in her chair is lucky.
Had the absolute best experience with Meg and the Sainte Lux team for my rehearsal dinner and wedding. Not only did I look and feel beautiful, but all of my bridesmaids said this was the best they’d ever felt they looked for a wedding as well. The team took special time and attention to ensure not a single hair or eyelash was out of place, but more than anything else, they were such a fun team to spend the day with. They felt like an extension of my bridal party and helped to create the perfect, low stress atmosphere pre walking down the aisle.
Yes, absolutely. Meg and The Sainte Lüx Team will travel anywhere you’d like to take them.
No. Meg only cuts hair in the salon for.
Meg loves to say “with the seasons”. About every 3-4 months will help keep your hair healthy and growing
1 hour haircuts are for maintenance. This is for you if your last haircut was 3-4 months ago. 1.5 hour haircuts are for new clients (so Meg can get to know your hair and you), big transformation haircuts (you’re going to chop off your hair), or clients who have really long, really thick hair. When in doubt, always book more time!
Meg typically books about a year or so out for weddings. The sooner the better!
Typically about 3-4 months from the wedding.
